My Life On the Road 2
I have to admit, her writing style actually goes well with how I like things to read. Her telling of her experiences was pretty fast paced in the beginning and she didn't bore me with an extreme amount of minute details. However, this style did make things a little more confusing later on regarding different activists, conferences, and events that she attended and my ability to get through the book definitely slowed.
One of my favorite chapters was probably Chapter 3 regarding why she doesn't drive. I found this to be a pretty interesting perspective and I actually like how she almost uses various taxi drivers and people she meets traveling like this to keep up to date on events in the places she visits. She also made a good point about New Yorkers and how they interact with each other much more because of the way people travel and commute there. I like the idea of people interactive more with their fellow man instead of "being isolated in speeding tin cans" as she called it. I actually love interacting with people I meet on public transportation and my Uber drivers. You never know what you'll learn and everyone has a story.
Overall, I'm still not that fascinated by this book, but at least it was better than Growing a Farmer.
